OCTranspo Presto Passes

OCTranspo Presto Passes
Posted on 08/22/2019
Presto passes for the OCTranspo buses will be handed out on the first day of school to all students who are eligible to receive one. These passes are paid for by the school board.

To be eligible for a bus pass, students in grades 7 & 8 must live at least 1.6 km away from the school, and students in grades 9-12 must live at least 3.2 km away. Parents can go onto the OSTA website to confirm if their address is far enough away for their child to qualify.

There will be two information sessions offered to students, to familiarize them with using OCTranspo, as well as using the Presto passes. Please click here for information on these sessions.

There are two designated bus routes for Longfields, that run in the morning, in time to get students to school by 8:55, and in the afternoon after classes end. The routes are #80, and #171. To see the actual routes these buses take, and the schedule, go to the OC Transpo website. These two routes come directly to our school, and are specifically for our students, although students with a Presto pass can take other buses to get to and from school, if more convenient.

Please note that if your student's Presto card must be registered as soon as soon as possible (on the OC Transpo website). Once it is registered, if it is lost or stolen, it will be replaced quickly and easily.
