GRAD PHOTOS - we look forward to welcoming Green Apple for Grad Photos from November 18 - 27. We would like EVERY student to ensure that they come so they can be included on the Grad Composite that is posted within the school.
Photos will be taken in the CoOp Office located at the back of the library. Sessions are booked using this link - please book a session early to avoid disappointment:
You are welcome to bring items that can personalize your session (sport equipment, musical instrument or sheet , etc. No weapons or live animals).
How Should I Dress?
- Students are encouraged to wear a white or off white shirt with a collar and with or without a tie for best results
- Robes, caps, flowers and other props will be provided to you during the session
Exclusive Sitting Fee - A sitting fee of $20 (cash only) is paid to the photographer at the time of the photo session. If you forget your fee, the session will need to be rescheduled.
Your Session Fee includes:
- 6-8 traditional poses
- grad composite in a vinyl folder of the Class of 2025 distributed at Commencement
Basic Sitting Fee - there is no charge. Book this session if you DO NOT plan to place an order for grad photos, and to ensure that you are included in the Grad Composite (for the wall)

The Platform for Leisure and Achievement of Youth (PLAY), a non-profit organization dedicated to the academic and real-life development of youth is hosting a University Prep seminar on November 2, 2024, at 335 Michael Cowpland Drive. This event will feature university students, professionals, and professors from various fields and from various programs across universities in Ottawa to explain their departments/fields. OCTOBER

Algonquin College is hosting a College Information Program on Monday Oct 21st, from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Algonquin College Student Commons. More than 20 different colleges from all across Ontario will be in attendance giving students a great opportunity to meet with colleges who typically do not visit the Ottawa area.

From Scholar Tree:
Scholarship season is fully underway. Over 10 Million Dollars worth of scholarships are currently open for applications on ScholarTree! This week alone, we have added 20 scholarships worth over $120,000.
Once students complete their profiles, they will be matched to all the awards they qualify for. However, many students miss that at the top left-hand corner of their scholarship list, they can filter scholarships by various categories: Program of Study, Ethnicity, Financial Need, etc.

As a reminder, there will be a postsecondary presentation for parents/guardians on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:30 in the auditorium. At this time representatives from Algonquin, Ottawa U and Carleton U will be available in the foyer to answer any questions. The Post-Secondary Information Assembly is happening for all graduating students tomorrow (September 26th) at 10:40 in the auditorium. Grade 12 classes will be called down at 10:35. If you have an eLearning or spare at that time, please come to the auditorium at 10:35 to hear the information. As a reminder, parents of our grads are invited to attend our post-secondary information session on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:30.
