Hello families of LDH graduates
As you are aware, our commencement ceremonies this year will take place during the day on Tuesday June 27th. The first one will be at 11am and the second one will be at 1:30pm. They will take place at LDH. We will be hosting 2 ceremonies, as our graduating class is quite large and we would like to allow students to invite up to 4 guests. We recognize that this is a wonderful reason to celebrate our graduating students and provide an opportunity for a few caring people in their lives to attend.
Please take a moment to fill out the following form (Commencement Ceremony Bookings) by the end of this week, to select which ceremony you would like your child to be a part of.
There are 175 seats per ceremony. Should you require additional tickets, please complete the Additional Tickets for Commencement Request. Once one ceremony is full, the only option will be to select the one with availability.
Both ceremonies will be fulsome and include the same aspects of a commencement ceremony. If you do not have a preference and choose not to fill out the form, we will place you in the ceremony that has the least number of graduates.
This is also the time of year when potential grads can self-nominate to be the valedictorian for the Class of 2023. Interested students must complete and submit the following form (Valedictorian Application 2023). A committee will review each candidate's application to ensure that they meet the criteria: academic achievement and leadership activities will be considered, a written summary of why the applicant would be the best candidate to be the valedictorian, and applicants are asked to have 3 staff members agree to support their application. The application is due by Friday May 26th.
